The challenge
Plexal reached out to us to create a collaborative coworking space in central London that would attract clients in a competitive market.
The design needed to accommodate a variety of work settings, including fixed workstations and areas to support agile working. Being a coworking environment, it was essential to create a durable and future-proof space that was attractive to Plexal’s clients. They also needed to better optimise use of space to provide more and better facilities within the existing floorplate.
The design needed to provide a mixture of creative features to help Plexal stand out in the market, while also catering to practical concerns such as providing the work settings and amenities clients were looking for, managing the acoustics of an open plan environment, and providing accessibility to all users.
The solution
The space we created for Plexal has a strong sense of brand identity throughout, featuring a range of spaces from open plan desking, to breakout facilities, meeting rooms, secure storage and social spaces.
We carried out the entire project from new build shell through to a turnkey finish, ready for the client to occupy.
We created open plan working spaces, complemented by AV-integrated collaboration spaces and videoconferencing enabled meeting rooms, as well as smart RFID lockers for storage.
We provided workspace consultancy, design, fit-out from core, including all M&E, HVAC, acoustics, partitions and furniture, with brand manifestations and a bespoke reception desk to provide a strong, appealing aesthetic to the space.
